In this study, we investigated the origin of the most recent cholera outbreak by obtaining the full genome sequence of V. cholerae collected from two infected individuals in October 2022 with profuse watery diarrhea, vomiting and hypovolemic shock. Moreover, we investigate the phylogenetic relationship of these recent strains to previous strains from Haiti in 2018 in an effort to determine the relationship and determine if this new emergence is related to previous strains.
