Three cell lines were submitted for whole genome sequencing and characterized to be made available as lab resources to study the Parkinson's disease(PD)-related gene PARK7 (DJ-1). Fibroblasts from a PD patient with a loss-of-function mutation in the DJ-1 gene were reprogrammed to form an induced pluripotent stem cell line. The mutation was replicated in a commercially available control line using CRISPR-editing technology.
