Change in employment due to COVID-19 in Tunisia 2020, by sector

In 2020, the number of people employed in Tunisia decreased by 3.7 percent compared to the previous year. This was mainly due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which triggered the economic crisis. The construction and public work sector was the most affected, with a loss of almost six percent of the employment.
