This dataset centers on the Horqin Sandy Land, Hulunbuir Sandy Land and Mu Us Sandy Land in the agro-pastoral ecotone of northern China. DJI Phantom 4 drones were employed to conduct continuous vertically downward photography of typical desert and sand-fixing plant communities, and the acquired data were subsequently integrated into centimeter-resolution orthorectified images of plant communities covering approximately 100 m × 100 m.
