Mycobacterium tuberculosis surveillance program by whole-genome sequencing in Caldas, Colombia (2016-2019)

Dataset of the first sequenced genomes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Caldas (Colombia), compiled between 2016 and 2019 during surveillance by the Caldas Public Health Laboratory. The collected genomes correspond to the municipalities of Chinchina, Manizales, La Dorada, Neira, and Viterbo; the first genome with TB-MDR detected through complete genomic sequencing of the region is provided. The samples were processed in the Microbiology Lab of Universidad Catolica de Manizales; all genomic data were analyzed in GRAM (Grupo de Resistencia Antibiotica de Manizales) servers, a start-up affiliated with Universidad de Manizales, School of Medicine with the collaboration of researchers from Caldas University (0277920).
