Freesound Loop Dataset (FSLD) is a large-scale musical loop dataset created by the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation. It contains 9,455 musical loops sourced from the Freesound community database, which are licensed under Creative Commons licenses to facilitate research activities. The dataset features comprehensive annotations including tags covering rhythm, pitch, musical instruments and music genres. During its development, researchers developed an online annotation tool to improve annotation efficiency. FSLD is primarily applied in the field of Music Information Retrieval (MIR), supporting research in areas such as automatic loop feature analysis and algorithmic composition, aiming to address technical challenges in the analysis and application of musical loops.
