资源简介:
The aims of our study were 1) to test pathogens composition of oral diseases on teeth from seven archaeological human subjects belonging to French rural population of 18th century with shotgun metagenomic method, 2) to identify some pathogens characteristic of dental bacteria responsible for carious or periodontal diseases and 3) to improve the knowledge of this ancient oral microbiome from healthy or carious teeth. The samples in this study were obtained from 10 skeletons (213, 306, 307, 308, 309, 312, 403, 406, 702 and 913) found in archaeological graves. These excavations were identified as mass burial resulting of the battle of Le Mans (West of France), precisely dated at 12th-13th December 1793, between the âCatholic and Royal armyâ and the âRepublican armyâ.A total of ten indexed Illumina shotgun metagenomic libraries were prepared from these ten samples (teeth and bones) using ancient DNA specific extraction and decontamination protocols. The ten indexed libraries were pooled and sequenced on a single Illumina HiSeq 2500 lane.
