Analysis of Millet Cultivation Zones of Nepal using the Analytic Hierarchy Process, Multi Criteria Decision Making Approach, and Geospatial Techniques

This dataset supports the research study focused on assessing the suitability of millet cultivation zones across Nepal using geospatial tools and Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) approaches, particularly the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). It includes thematic layers (elevation, slope, soil pH, organic matter, nitrogen, land use, landform, precipitation), their reclassification based on crop requirements, and weightage calculation through AHP. The dataset comprises: AHP pairwise comparison matrix and derived weightings Normalized matrix and consistency ratio check Thematic reclassified maps Final suitability map (classified output) Flowchart of the methodological process Climate and edaphic requirements of millet Data sources and acquisition formats All layers and weights were used for weighted overlay analysis in ArcGIS to generate a composite suitability map of millet cultivation zones in Nepal.
