Methods of making high yield kraft pulp are provided. In particular， the method involves adding a composition comprising an organic amine phosphonate and a sulfonated linear alcohol ethoxylate surfactant to the pulping process. The composition enhances delignification of cellulose fibers in chemical wood pulp. A method for producing a high yield Kraft pulp is provided.
