BIM Component Database is developed to guide modeling, model review and data management, and is capable of comprehensively managing information covering model structure, classification coding, component naming, modeling accuracy, modeling methods, quantity-output attributes and other related contents. It lays a solid foundation for the full-stage, full-discipline and whole-process application of BIM models, and serves as a prerequisite for constructing the digital twin foundation of engineering projects. The database encompasses over 30 major disciplines, more than 200 sub-disciplines and over 40,000 component types, covering industries such as civil aviation, municipal engineering and energy.
