Adaptive responses to warming in Silver fir early life stages are shaped by seed dormancy release

The dataset contains the database analyzed in the paper “Adaptive responses to warming in Silver fir early life stages are shaped by seed dormancy release”(submitted). This paper studies how seed physiological dormancy and intraspecific variation shape Abies alba adaptive responses to warming during early life stages. The experiment comprised 4,132 seeds from six range-wide populations, exposed to three sowing temperatures and two stratification treatments. Germination, leaf emergence, and fitness-related seedling traits were monitored over eight months under controlled climate-chamber conditions and then analyzed using mixed-effects models and climatic transfer distances.
