Coral Trait Database

The Coral Trait Database is a growing compilation of scleractinian coral life history trait, phylogenetic and biogeographic data. It is an open source research initiative that aims to make all observations and measurements of Scleractinian corals accessible in order to more rapidly advance coral reef science. Anyone collecting coral trait data (e.g., collected in field and laboratory studies, extracted from the literature, or by other means) can join and contribute to the growing data compilation. The citation system has been carefully designed to ensure full transparency about the origin of each individual data point as well as larger data compilations of other peoples' data (such as data extracted from literature for meta-analyses).珊瑚性状数据库（Coral Trait Database）是一套持续扩充的石珊瑚（scleractinian coral）生活史性状、系统发育及生物地理数据汇编。该项目为开源研究计划，旨在开放所有石珊瑚观测与测量数据的获取渠道，以加速珊瑚礁科学的研究进展。任何采集珊瑚性状数据的人员（例如通过野外与实验室研究获取、从文献中提取，或通过其他途径获得数据），均可加入并为这套不断扩充的数据汇编贡献数据。该数据库的引用体系经过精心设计，可确保每个单个数据点的来源，以及他人汇编的大型数据集（例如为开展元分析而从文献中提取的数据）的来源均完全透明。
