RNA sequencing of gingival tissues in rats with periodontitis

To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying periodontitis-induced changes in periodontal soft tissues in rats, an experimental periodontitis model was established at the mandibular first molar. The animals were divided into a control group and a periodontitis group. On day 14 post-modeling, gingival tissues surrounding the mandibular first molar were collected for RNA-Seq analysis to identify key genes associated with the progression of periodontitis.
