Here, FPM was regarded as a dual-complexity system consisting of original and behavioral complexities, where the former determines geometric types, while the latter dominates scale-invariance property. However, existing characterization models are difficult to construct FPM with arbitrary geometric and scale-invariance types. Therefore, by clarifying the essentials of scale-invariance properties, we proposed a general fractal topology model to uniquely define behavioral complexity. Subsequently, by combining pore-throat-solid-network-connectivity algorithm to equivalently characterize original complexity, we developed a comprehensive solution for constructing FPM and verified its adaptability by modeling both classical and natural FPM. Finally, we pointed out the future work in the development of the digital twin model for FPM, respectively to be effective extraction of original complexity and unique inversion of behavioral complexity. This work might provide a solution to improve the accuracy of physical property estimation and facilitate the exploration of dynamic performances of natural reservoirs.
