Corpus and coding framework for "Justice Marginalized between Imaginaries and Momentum: A Diachronic Qualitative Meta-Synthesis of AI-in-Education Discourse"

This dataset accompanies the qualitative meta-synthesis "Justice Marginalized between Imaginaries and Momentum: A Diachronic Qualitative Meta-Synthesis of AI-in-Education Discourse" (Sancar & Kuş). It contains two supplementary files: S1 — Corpus of 52 peer-reviewed articles: A PRISMA-aligned corpus compiled through a systematic search of the Web of Science Core Collection (search updated May 2026). For each article, the file provides ID, authors, article title, source title, submission date, submission-date source, pre-/post-1 July 2023 threshold classification, publication year, and DOI. S2 — Coding framework: The exploratory-inductive coding framework developed for the meta-synthesis, comprising six sociotechnical imaginaries and 18 sub-themes: T1 (Pedagogical Optimizer–Enhancer), T2 (Internal Systemic Transformer), T3 (Global Policy Agency), T4 (Socio-Ethical Risk), T5 (Distributive-Justice Concern), T6 (Human-Centered Augmentation). The analytical framework combines Jasanoff and Kim's (2015) sociotechnical imaginaries with T. P. Hughes's (1994) technological momentum. The manuscript is currently under review at Educational Research Review.
