Bacterial community diversity along a 14 m transect of a sulfidic spring. uncultured bacterium

This study was done to characterize the bacterial community composition of a sulfidic spring outflow channel in Bromide, Oklahoma. Samples were taken from the spring orifice, +1.6 m from the orifice, +5.5 m from the orifice, +9.5 m from the orifice, and + 14 m from the orifice (the end of the outflow channel) in July and October of 2010. The results are amplicon pyrosequence libraries of single-direction reads generated using multiplexed, bar-coded primers targeting the V1-V3 region of the bacterial of 16S rRNA gene.
