Eucalyptus GxU (grandis x urophylla) is, like the GxC hybrid, one which thrives in warm climates with MATs > 17 degree Celsius, but unlike GxC grows optimally at high rainfalls with MAPs in excess of 950 mm. Below MAT = 17 degree Celsius frost damage can occur and below 16 degree Celsius snow can also damage this hybrid (Kunz, 2004).
