VPRS 12131 Unserialised Records

This series consists of records found with those of VA 2887 Prices Control Branch, but further research is required to determine whether these records are part of those of this agency.Two volumes are marked Section W which may have been the section created to deal with Building Costs Control. These volumes are marked:i. Complaints and Treasuryii. TradesmenBoth volumes contain alphabetical lists of names with numbers beside them. They have not been able to be linked to other records which may have come from the same section nor is there any indication of the function of these records.The remainder of this series consists of a box of index cards labelled Treasury Files. Each card has two names, a file number and a notation regarding a date received. These records apparently also came from Section W, but no other evidence regarding a Section W has been found in records pertaining tot he Prices Control Branch. However this section may have existed and, if so, it would appear to have dealt with Building Costs control. Files with the numbers given are not in custody in any of the series pertaining to the Prices Control Branch.
