The invention relates to an improved cross-laminated timber panel, which is characterized by, among other things, the following features: having at least three wood layers (3a, 3b, 3c), two wood layers (3a, 3c) lying parallel to each other and at a lateral offset to each other consist of at least 80 weight percent and/or at least 80 volume percent of coniferous woods, at least one intermediate layer (3b) is arranged between the two wood layers (3a, 3c) arranged parallel to each other and at a lateral offset to each other, the at least one intermediate layer (3b) consists of at least 80 weight percent and/or at least 80 volume percent of hardwoods, the intermediate layer (3b) comprising hardwoods comprises a plurality of hardwood pieces (27), and the plurality of hardwood pieces (27) are jointed to each other in the longitudinal direction (L) in order to produce at least one continuous board (BR).
