资源简介:
In this research, the investigation centered on the exploration of species-genetic diversity correlations (SGDC) within the context of aquatic invertebrates residing in 31 urban ponds located in Stockholm, Sweden. The primary objective was to unravel the intricate relationships between species diversity (SD) and genetic diversity (GD) and to analyze how various environmental factors played a role in shaping both aspects. The study focused on four key focal species: Asellus aquaticus, Haliplus ruficollis, Planorbis planorbis, and Rana temporaria. These species were chosen for their differing dispersal abilities, and the researchers employed double digest restriction associated DNA (ddRAD) sequencing to estimate GD accurately. The study's significance lies in its exploration of SGDCs within urban environments, a research domain that has received relatively limited attention in prior investigations. Urbanization can exert considerable influence on ecological communities, making it essential to comprehend how SD and GD interact in such settings. Moreover, the research adds to the broader understanding of the underlying mechanisms governing SGDCs, underscoring the importance of considering niche utilization and the dispersal patterns of these focal species in future analyses.
