The dataset is provided in HDF5 format with a size of 16 GB, covering the period from 2025-03-01 to 2026-03-31 (397 days, 8867 hourly timesteps). It features a grid of 300 × 200 cells with a 500 m horizontal resolution based on WRF d02 domain. The dataset includes observations from 28 stations (23 Landsverk RWIS and 5 Vedur AWS) with cadences of hourly (all 28 stations), 5-minute (all 28), and 1-minute (5 Vedur). WRF variables, available at both grid and station locations, include U10, V10, T2, Q2, PSFC, PBLH, HFX, LH, SWDOWN, and GLW. Observation variables include wind speed, wind direction, wind gust, air temperature, air pressure (QFE and QFF), relative humidity, and precipitation. It is designed to evaluate machine-learning weather emulators on heterogeneous coastal terrain, supporting terrain-stratified evaluation, sector-conditioned analysis by wind direction, and storm-intensity stratification. Sources include WRF d02 outputs from the Faroese Meteorological Institute, Landsverk road-weather station observations, and Vedur automatic weather station observations.
