Ammonium sulfate is an ideal fertilizer because it is inexpensive and contains both ammonium and sulfur nutrients. It is necessary to understand the molecular mechanisms of plants in response to excessive ammonium and sulfate to control and improve ammonium sulfate use efficiency in plants. This study studied the molecular mechanism of stress response to excess ammonium sulfate by temporal transcriptome analysis, aiming at the effective use of ammonium sulfate fertilizer in crop production.
