The early spring ephemeral plant Erythronium japonicum has a very short growth cycle on the ground. It can blossom, pollinate, fertilize and produce seeds in a short time in spring. After that, all the aboveground plants wither, and the flower organs form in the bulbs and begin to develop underground. In autumn, the flower form has been formed, and it will bloom rapidly in early spring after overwintering. In the process of sexual reproduction of ephemeral plants in early spring, the underground development of floral organs and the flowering process after overwintering should be included. In particular, there is no photoperiod induction and vernalization in the underground development of floral organs. Therefore, this project uses transcriptomics to explore the expression dynamics of key candidate genes that affect the development process of underground floral organs, It is of great significance to speculate the genetic network and model of floral organ development for revealing the molecular mechanism of floral organ development of ephemeral plants in early spring.
