EFFECTIVENESS OF USING DIGITAL EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

This study examines the theoretical and methodological foundations, practical significance, and effectiveness of using digital educational technologies in teacher professional development. The research analyzes the impact of digital technologies on improving educational quality and enhancing teachers' professional competencies. In recent years, the rapid digital transformation of education has made the effective use of distance learning platforms, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based educational tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual laboratories, and interactive electronic learning resources an essential component of continuous professional development for teachers. The study reviews reports published by international organizations, including UNESCO, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the European Commission, as well as the ongoing educational reforms aimed at promoting digital education in Uzbekistan. According to UNESCO (2023), more than 70% of educational institutions worldwide have integrated digital platforms into teachers' professional development programs. Furthermore, OECD studies indicate that the systematic implementation of digital technologies has increased teaching effectiveness and student engagement by approximately 15–25%. In Uzbekistan, within the framework of the Digital Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, comprehensive reforms are being implemented to strengthen teachers' digital competencies, improve distance professional development systems, and integrate modern information and communication technologies into the educational process.
