Data of the thermosalinometer (TRANSMED system) on board the MV Jolly Indaco: Sea Surface temperature (SST) and Sea Surface Salinity (SSS)are recorded underway at ~3m deep, between Genoa and Southern Ionian mostly (routes and timing can be visualized on on www.ifremer.fr/transmed).<br />
TRANSMED is fostered by the CIESM (www.ciesm.org)<br />

Observing strategy: <br />
Flow-through thermosalinometer SBE 45 + high quality temperature sensor SBE 38 embedded in the TRANSMED system record SST and SSS underway at ~3m deep on a ship of opportunity. Data are transmitted in (near)real time (hourly files).
