GBIF Country Presence Occurrence Cube

This Zenodo record archives a GBIF species occurrence cube summarized by species and country, together with a cleaned Parquet version prepared for use in rapid pest risk analysis workflows. The cleaned Parquet file is intended to support reproducible calculation of Country Distribution Scores in the `rapidRiskAnalysis` R package. The Country Distribution Score represents the breadth of a pest’s known geographic distribution based on the number of countries where the pest has occurrence records. The original GBIF download contained 4,488,963 rows. The cleaned Parquet file contains 4,445,479 rows after removing records missing key fields required for country-level scoring, including species, species key, country code, or occurrence count. The cleaned file includes 1,254,696 species names, 1,259,969 species keys, 249 country codes, and represents 3,333,600,856 underlying GBIF occurrence records. This Zenodo record should be cited alongside the original GBIF download DOI when using the derived country occurrence data.
