This Lowy Institute Poll is the second of a series of surveys designed to capture Australian opinion on a broad range of foreign policy issues.This poll was conducted between 19 June and 6 July 2006, one in Australia in Indonesia. The questions asked fall into three categories: Australian time-series questions; common international questions; and questions on the relationship between Australia and Indonesia. Topics covered in the Indonesian poll include feelings toward various countries, whether Indonesia should take an active part in world affairs, quality of relations between Inonesia and various countries, trust in various countries to actr responsibly, influence of various countries, importance of different foreign policy goals, U.S. as "world's policeman", Iran and nuclear weapons, the Iraq war, globalisation, incluence of various countries in Asia, Australia and relations with Indonesia, Indonesia and democracy and terrorism. Background variables were age, sex, income, education, employment status and language.
