GRS 1915+105 Multi-wavelength fast variability

In recent years, the study of the correlated Xray/OIR fast variability inblackhole transients (BHTs) is showing more and more promising results. GRS1915+105 was one of the first BHTs to be studied with a multiwavelengthapproach, showing the first strong evidences for a diskjet connection. As oftoday, only few XrayOIR simultaneous observations have been reported of thissource. Here, we propose to observe GRS1915+105 simultaneously with XMM andHAWKI@VLT, using high time resolution modes at both wavelengths. We ask toperform 5 (7 ks apiece) XMM observations, matched by 5 (1 hour apiece)HAWKiI@VLT observations.
