Topics covered in this survey include whether Australians should voluntarily commence amount of petrol used; oil exploration in the Barrier Reef of Queensland; whether men or women are more suited to specific occupations; Federal Parliament's continuation of medical benefits for abortions; approval or disapproval of Mr Fraser's and Mr Hayden's handling of their jobs; and, (for Victoria) approval or disapproval of Mr Hamer's and Mr Wilkes' handling of their jobs. Background variables include occupation of self and head of household, whether respondent assists employer on purchase decisions, marital status, education, age, sex, voting enrolment, vote intention, economic classification, gross income, whether respondent is renting or buying a home and phone ownership.
