This dataset contains the data associated with the article: "Impacts of UAS navigation and sensor technology on ultra-shallow bathymetry mapping" In this study we compared the bathymetric retrieval accuracy of 5 Unoccupied Aerial Systems (UAS) using Structure-from-Motion (SfM) and Spectrally Derived Bathymetry (SDB) based methods. This datasets contains the following types of data: - Readme (.txt file) A text file providing more details on the file structure and the contents of the data stored in this dataset. - Geolocated UAS images (zipped folders of .jpg and .tif files) The 'raw' UAS images as recorded during the surveys, with 1 adaptation, the imagery for the Phantom 4 RTK and Zenmuse P1 are already geolocated through Post-Processing Kinematics. - Structure-from-Motion project files (zipped folders of various files) The Pix4Dmapper project files, allowing users to access any part of the SfM reconstructions without having to rerun the heavy processing. - Co-registered, resampled UAS maps (zipped folders of .tif files) UAS-based maps that were used in the analysis of the data. All of these files have been co-registered and resampled as described in the main manuscript. - Co-registration point files (zipped folders of QGIS .point files) .points files that can be used to replicate the manual co-registration of different UAS surveys. - Geolocated underwater images (zipped folders of .jpg files) Images taken with a GoPro Hero 9 that was attached to the Emlid Reach RS2 GNSS while that was used to gather ground truth depth measurements. For each ground truth depth measurement we provide 1 corresponding image of the seafloor. Geolocation data from the Emlid Reach RS2 GNSS has been stored in the exif data of all the images. - Manuscript figures - full resolution (zipped folder of .png files) all figures and supplementary figures of the manuscript in full resolution. - Manuscript core data (.xlsx file) The processed data that all statistical analyses presented in main manuscript are based on. Metadata explaining the content of the file is provided in the first sheet.
