Proposal for INTEGRAL ToO observations of IceCube neutrinos

The IceCube collaboration is distributing alerts of highenergy neutrinodetections in order to allow followup searches for possible counterparts.Finding such counterparts would provide important clues on the origin of thehighenergy neutrinos and on the nature of the highenergy cosmic rayaccelerators. We ask for pointed ToO observation of the HESE (High EnergyStarting Events) and EHE (Extremely High Energy) neutrinos detected by IceCubeand reported either in public or in private GCNs, to hunt for a possible hardXray and gammaray counterparts. In absence of a detection, we will set themost stringent upper limits.
