In this study, we enrolled three groups of neonates. They were born to intrauterine infection mothers with antibiotics (18 neonates), non-intrauterine infection mothers with antibiotics (12 neonates), and healthy mothers without antibiotics (30 neonates). Fecal samples from all neonates were collected at the first week after birth. 16S rRNA gene sequencing was used to explore their fecal microbiota. we aim to provide a basic description of the impact of intrauterine infection on the gut microbial colonization in neonates.
