SDG 9.5.1 Research and Development Expenditure as a Proportion of Gross Domestic Product

This dataset shows gross domestic expenditure on research and experimental development in the State of Qatar as a percentage of gross domestic product, covering the years 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2021. Research and experimental development covers creative work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge and to devise new applications, and expressing the spending as a share of gross domestic product shows how much of the economy is devoted to building research capacity.
