Data set for: Poison in the nursery: Mercury contamination in the tadpole-rearing sites of an Amazonian frog

This raw data is the basis for the paper 'Poison in the nursery: Mercury contamination in the tadpole-rearing sites of an Amazonian frog' by Lia Schlippe Justicia et al., published in Science of the Total Environment. It describes the sampling date, location, and distance from the nearest known gold mining site. In addition, for each phytotelmata sampled, we report: pool ID, measured concentration of mercury (Hg) in ppm, type of pool, physical dimensions (lenght, width, depth, height, volume, surface, and volume per surface ratio), chemical properties (pH, KH) and temperature. We also report the presence and number of tadpoles per frog species. For Dendrobates tinctorius tadpoles, weight, length (SVL), width, and stage category are given.For further details, please see the methods within the paper.
