资源简介:
Potato (Solanum tuberosum) is an essential crop for food security in Colombia and is ranked as the third most important crop worldwide for human consumption. The cultivar Diacol Capiro is the most widely cultivated in Colombia for fresh markets and the processing industry. This cultivar belongs to the Andigenum group that is autotetraploid and highly heterozygous. Here, we present a chromosome-scale assembly of the tetraploid cultivar Diacol Capiro using circular consensus sequencing and a proximity ligation Hi-C for the scaffolding. The assembly represents 2.379 Gb, 48 pseudochromosomes represent 2.088 Gb with an anchor rate of 87.78%. It has an N50 of 49.6 Mb, a BUSCO score of 99.38%, and an LTR Assembly index score of 13.57 in reference genome quality. The assembly we report is a valuable resource that will facilitate research on potato and the Andigenum group evolution and breeding for agronomic traits
