SMRT sequencing of full-length transcriptome of Portunus pelagicus

This study firstly proposed the full-length transcriptome of P. pelagicus derived from 8 different tissues using the PacBio SMRT sequencing that could be used as a reference in some cases (e.g. genetic evolution study, physiological mechanism analysis et al). Moreover, the annotation of P. pelagicus gene set could improve the whole genome annotation, contribute towards better understanding of the complexity of the genome and serve as reference sequences for gene functional studies.
