Small RNA sequencing of Drosophila melanogaster flies and cells infected with IIV-6 virus

Drosophila melanogaster flies and cells were infected with Invertebrate Iridescent Virus 6 (IIV-6) and were collected at different time-points prior RNA extraction using TRIzol. Small RNA libraries were built and sequenced for the evaluation of small RNA profiles either from host or IIV-6. The dataset also includes a double-stranded RNA-enriched fraction submitted to RNA sequencing (dsRIP-seq) for comparisons between small and dsRNA sequencing in infected cells, as well as sequencing of small RNAs from deficient and competent flies in endogenous small interfering RNA (siRNA) synthesis.
