4U 1543-624 is an X-ray binary likely harboring a neutron star in an18-minute binary orbit. Though it is a persistent source theSwift/BAT now shows a clear rising flux trend in 15-40 keV the source has never shown behavior like this in the past. This differs somewhat from other persistent sources such as Z and Atoll sources that vary in quasi-regular patterns. It also differs from the behavior observed in true transient sources with short periods such as SAX J1808.4-3658. The outburst behavior may represent a change in the corona of this source and a study of coronal evolution in an UCXB is relatively unexplored territory. [truncated!
