Earth Analytics Bootcamp | Final Project Teaching Subset

This is a teaching data subset that contains data for fire occurrence in California between 1992 and 2015. Data included:<br><br>1. ca-fires-1992-2015-gt-100-acres.csv: contains one record for every fire greater than 100 acres that occurred between 1992 and 2015 in California. The dataset has columns for the size of the fire (acres) and for the year and month of the fire, along with other details about the cause, reporting agency, county name, etc.<br>2. ca-fires-monthly-count-1992-to-2015: contains the total monthly count of fires in California (greater than 100 acres) ; 24 rows/records (one for each year between 1992 and 2015) and 12 columns (one for each month from January to December) <br>3. ca-fires-monthly-mean-size-1992-to-2015: contains the average monthly fire size (acres) for all fires greater than 100 acres; 24 rows/records (one for each year between 1992 and 2015) and 12 columns (one for each month from January to December) <br><br>Source: U.S. Forest Service
