Data from an Archaeological Strip Map And Sample at Land at Higher Town, Sampford Peverell, Tiverton, Devon, May - July 2022

This digital archive comprises images, report, site records, spreadsheets and gis data from a programme of archaeological mitigation on land at Higher Town, Sampford Peverell, Devon (centred on NGR ST 0249 1409). The work was undertaken in May and July 2022, by Archaeology England Ltd, in association with the proposed development of 60 dwellings and construction of new vehicular access onto the highway to the west of the site.This work involved a Strip, Map and Sample excavation (SME) and environmental analysis of palaeoenvironmental samples retained from an earlier evaluation of the site undertaken by AC Archaeology.
