Lake Baikal Amphipods genome sequencing

The study aims to sequence the genomes of endemic Lake Baikal Amphipods. This group diverged into hundreds of species in one lake and demonstrates significant diversity of genome sizes while maintaining relatively stable karyotype. Only a few attempts to sequence genomes of this group were taken and no assembled genomes are publicly available.
