Soil is alive - Experimental Dataset Collection - Willow pot experiment - Microbiological markers and chemistry
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains data about the microbiological markers and chemical analysis of soil specimens from a subset of the samples listed in Samples index and tests overview. The first line reports an incremental integer to identify the columns as follows, followed by headers in the second line and units in the third line. All subsequent lines report data for each of the samples. Column 1 reports the ID of the sample indicating time elapsed in days since planting the willow stake into the soil, followed by the main mechanical test performed on the sample (Pu for pullout, DS for direct shear, Pe for falling head test), followed by a sequential number, followed by N and/or A or B to avoid ID duplicates, followed by -T if roots specimens for tensile shear strength were taken from the sample. Column 2 reports the ID of the specimen taken from a given sample for chemical and/or microbiological tests. This field (Specimen_name) consists of the Sample_ID followed by the approximate depth interval (reported in cm) from which the specimen was taken. If only one specimen was taken from the sample for either or both chemical and microbiological tests at a non-specific depth, the Sample and Specimen IDs coincide. For specimens consisting of water-resistant aggregates the Sample ID is followed by a, and a sequential number if more than one specimen was taken. Column 3 reports a temporary ID assigned before data curation. Column 4 reports the average value of the approximate depth interval at which the specimen was taken, expressed in [cm] from the top surface of the sand in a pot. Column 5 reports the total organic carbon concentration measured using T/C Vario MacroCube, expressed in [milligram per gram of soil]. Column 6 reports the water extractable organic carbon concentration measured using Analytic Jena, expressed in [milligram per gram of soil]. Column 7 reports the DNA concentration measured after extraction using Qubit, expressed in [microgram per gram of soil]. Column 8 reports the gene copy number of ITS region fungal marker gene per 1 g of soil measured using qPCR on Lightcycler96, expressed in [number of gene copies per gram of soil]. Column 9 reports the bacterial 16S rRNA marker gene copy number per 1 g of soil measured using qPCR on Lightcycler96, expressed in [number of gene copies per gram of soil]. Columns 10 to 25 report the concentration of magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), lead (Pb) expressed in [microgram per gram of soil], measured using ICP-MS/ICP-OES after either after EDTA or acidic extraction based on the subfix reported in the column heading. N.R. stands for not relevant (e.g. organic content in the sand supplied as sterile) N.D. stands for not determined, when a measurement was not performed on a given sample or the data is missing. b.d.l. stands for below detection limit.
