Mango endophyte and epiphyte microbiome composition at pre- and postharvest stages

This study aimed at determining the baseline microbial population of the mango fruit from flowering to ready-to-eat stages. Thus, this study provides the primary baseline data on mango fungal and bacterial diversity and composition in fruit stems and stem-end pulp which can be used as a foundation in the development of effective disease (stem-end rot) management strategies and highlights the effects of chemical (pesticide) and physical (cold storage) interventions on microbial populations of mango.
