We are working on genome sequencing of fig (Ficus carica L.). The purpose of this project is to identify important genes and contribute to related research and industry. We determined the draft genome sequence of Masui Dauphine (synonym of San Piero), the major cultivar in Japan. Genomic DNA was isolated from young leaves. Sequence data was created by NovaSeq 6000 (Illumina), and assembled by Supernova (10X Genomics) software. Gene annotation was performed with MAKER2, AUGUSTUS (reference species : arabidopsis) and other softwares.
