To obtain reliable analytical data to evaluate the CSO impact on the discharged waterway environment, the bacterial 16S rRNA gene amplicons had been evaluated during rainfall periods. The surveys were conducted at Higashiyokobori-gawa waterway, Osaka, Japan, during rainfall periods before and after commissioning the stormwater storage tunnel for CSO prevention.
