GIS dataset (the proportion of impervious surfaces in Daytona Beach, FL) derived from Landsat 8 data in 2015

The dataset includes GIS shapefiles including surfaces maps, Daytona Beach city limit, roads (clipped to the city limit), and a map showing the proportion of impervious surfaces of the city. Landsat 8 satellite images were used to classify the Daytona Beach ground surface at a 30 m resolution. Over 70% of the surface within the city limit was classified as impervious surfaces, where the remaining lands were either vegetated areas, bare soils, wetlands, or open water bodies, such as the Halifax River estuary.
