This is a genome-scale metabolic model (GSMM) of C. sphaeroides ATCC 17025. The pathway-genome database, which serves as the source for this model, is available for reference on the BioCyc web portal. The primary central carbon metabolism of the model is curated. The RsphCyc model was quantitatively validated under photoautotrophic condition (biomass and protein yield), aerobic heterotrophic condition (biomass yield), and anaerobic photoheterotrophic condition (specific growth rate, hydrogen production rate, and polyhydroxybutanoate production rate). The metabolic flux distributions and the biomass composition used for validation under different conditions are also included.
