Four stratigraphic samples from 41HP159 were examined for pollen and
phytoliths to assess the state of preservation of both of these data bases.
Identification of pollen and phytoliths from these samples provides an
assessment of the state of preservation, potential variation in the record,
and hence interpretability of these data bases. Evaluation of the potential
of future work including pollen and/or phytoliths at this location may be
made from assessment of these samples.
