Exosomal miRNAs profile in serum of colorectal cancer patients with Fusobacterium nucleatum infection [serum]

MicroRNAs play important roles in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC). Recently, some studies have reported Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn) could influence microRNAs expression. This study aims to use a microRNA sequencing to analyze the microRNA expression profiles in serum exosomes of CRC patients with Fn infection. Serum samples were collected from 12 CRC patients, including 6 cases with high Fn abundance and 6 cases with low Fn abundance. Exosomes were isolated from serum using ultracentrifugation, and then analyzed the microRNAs profile using miRNA-sequencing.
