Functions of histone crotonylation in early mouse embryos by ChIP-seq

Echs1 plays important roles in histone lysine crotonylation. Although it has been studied in many systems, its functions in early embryos remain unclear. In this study, we knocked down Echs1 in mouse oocytes and examined its impact on transcriptome in early mouse embryos. Generally, siRNA against Echs1 was injected into mouse oocytes, and fertilized oocytes were cultured to early 2-cell stage for epigenome analysis by ChIP-seq.
